Frequently asked questions

Answers to commonly asked questions about our platform

Chaski is a privacy-focused, minimalist feed reader that allows you to consume content without ads, algorithms, or tracking. It lets you choose what you read, how you read it, and when—on your own terms.
Chaski does not collect any personal data, track your activity, or serve ads. Everything happens locally on your device, so you can enjoy reading without interruptions or privacy concerns.
Currently, Chaski does not support native sync across devices. However, this is a feature we plan to introduce soon, first through third-party services like Feeder, and eventually with native support.
Yes! Chaski supports importing and exporting OPML files, which is compatible with most major feed readers. Simply export your feeds from your current service and import them into Chaski.
At the moment, Chaski is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. We do not have a mobile app yet, but it is something we're considering for the future. Stay tuned!
Chaski is a personal side project I created to learn Rust. It's open-source and free to use. If you enjoy the app and want to support its development, you can buy me a coffee! Feedback and contributions are also always welcome.
Currently, Chaski isn't fully tested or signed for macOS, as I don't have the required hardware for testing. If you can try the app on macOS and provide feedback, it would be much appreciated! Please note that you may encounter security warnings since the app is not signed.
On Windows, you might see a warning because Chaski is not digitally signed. This happens because it’s an open-source project and not distributed through official channels like the Microsoft Store. You can still install it, just be sure to download it from the GitHub releases.
